Tutor Guides

Tutor guides are designed for tutors and teachers as a guide to teaching the course. Tutor guides provide the tutor with clear objectives to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the aims and outcomes to be met, assessment method guidance, teaching method recommendations, syllabus and additional teaching materials.

Tutor guides are key to supporting tutors in providing tuition which ensures both a high standard of learning provision and the successful achievement of the course by the student.

In addition, DLC Worldwide provides teacher training where necessary which enables tutors to achieve the UK standards PTTLS, CTTLS and DTTLS for adult education which are recognised qualifications internationally. These qualifications develop and certify the competence and ability of a tutor to provide education and tuition to adults to high standard.

DLC Worldwide works closely with our partners to design tutor guides which are specifically tailored to the needs of both their tutors and their students. These guides can be customised to fit a number of learning modes including classroom, distance and online learning. Designed as a step by step guide to teaching the course the guides first develop the understanding of what is to be achieved from the course, followed by a detailed scheme of work which encompasses a range of learning styles to meet the needs of students including theory based tuition, practical application of learning, revision of the knowledge covered and assessment of the knowledge the student has gained. Our courses can be designed with a range of assessment methods including visual, auditory, verbal, group, observations and research based activities.
